  7. The Infotronic INFO SCOX/386 X-Windows device driver for SCO UNIX V provides
  8. UNIX support for the full range of Infotronic intelligent graphic adapters. The
  9. device driver allows X-Windows to run on Infotronic color or monochrome graphic
  10. adapters with resolutions of 1024x768, 1280x1024, or 1600x1200 pixels. The
  11. Infotronic adapters contain onboard processing power that runs in parallel with
  12. the host (386) processor. Local memory is used to cache data and instructions,
  13. minimizing the need to copy data to and from the host. This frees up the host
  14. processor to perform other tasks as well as reducing the bus traffic
  15.  
  16. For its particular architecture, Infotronic's X-Windows server for SCO/386 is
  17. outperforming minicomputers. The Server is fully compatible with SCO XSIGHT
  18. either in local or remote management. All the SCO XSIGHT clients (such as
  19. xhibit, xmag, ico, etc.) and the MOTIF window manager run immediately with no
  20. modification. Infotronic supplies the X-Windows server and device driver, the
  21. remaining software is available directly from SCO.
